About Mark

A former scuba diving instructor with Club Med and a graduate of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Mark learned early that meaningful design is not just what you see — but what you feel. He is co-founder of Mark + Vivi Architecture& Design, a creative studio whose work has been featured in international publications including Taschen, Dwell, and Azure. Ask him what inspires him and he’ll say: pie, well-worn boots, Filipino food, — and a perfectly designed chair.

He now resides in Puerto Vallarta, where he teaches expressive drawing and Creative Reboot workshops. Mark can often be found happily lost among groups of urban sketchers.
